"A few months after becoming a mentee to the wonderful Nadine I signed a contract with my agent."
Nadine Matheson’s 1:1 mentorship program changed my life forever. She helped me structure my submission to agents giving me indispensable advice, continued support and unwavering confidence that I could make it as a writer. I ended up with multiple offers of representation proving It’s more than just a session, it’s a chance to reach for your dreams.
Scarlett Brade - Author of 'The Hive'
When the BLM movement began, amongst other things, one of the prevalent issues highlighted was the lack of diversity in publishing. There was a lot of talk about making changes, about offering opportunities to people from minority groups, such as myself. Nadine Matheson, amongst others, put her money where her mouth was so to speak and volunteered to be a mentor to a lucky few. It was at this same time I was eagerly seeking help and guidance in nurturing my first MS, Whittingham, to its potential. Nadine Matheson's mentorship offered everything I was looking for, I applied and was over the moon to be successful. She went on to mentor me with passion, commitment and insight. I have seen my MS grow and develop, received further opportunities and have confidence that Whittingham is now more than ready for the reading public. Nadine was personable and professional in equal measure. Her insights were invaluable and her belief in Whittingham and my abilities as a writer have seen my confidence flourish. I will be forever grateful. In Nadine I not only found a wonderful mentor but a lifelong friend.

Natasha Carter

“The one-to-one mentoring I received from Nadine was very useful. As someone who teaches Creative Writing, the specific, tailored, advice that Nadine gave me was even more appreciated as I know how difficult this can sometimes be. Since our time, my novel has improved and her insights into the police world have been invaluable. Nadine is doing great work and I’m very happy to have been a recipient of it.”
